Three Kisses for Bhuta

Watching skateboarders at the Y and a motorcycle!

He is such a good boy when he gets his haircut!

Oh he is so cute and he loves that mustang!

Look at his hand, on the stickshift!

He put his head down for Christina the hairdresser, while
she cut the back of his hair.

Driving

1st Kiss- He flew in as a red- tail hawk!

2nd Kiss- He flew in as a Cooper's Hawk

3rd Kiss- He flew in as a crow (with Mama and Grandma
making caw, caw sound effects.)
Oliver had a nice day. We went to the Y in the morning and played, then saw Eileen and Danielle after they got out of a swim lesson. We played with them for awhile. Oliver was giving Danielle lots of hugs and they played at the Lego table so, so nicely today! Afterwards we went to get Oliver's haircut! His bangs were starting to get in his eyes and I asked him if they bothered him. He said yes, and he was ready for a haircut. So we got a spiffy, clean cut! He loves the barbie car- it has so many more knobs than the other seats. He did an awesome job- Mama was so proud of him!
He came home and took a beautiful nap, woke up in a really good mood. We played for awhile then went to visit Grandma and Bhuta. We ate dinner with Grandma and Oliver brought over his booster seat to keep at their house. He has grown so much he doesn't need it at our house anymore! We played for awhile and when we left, Oliver flew to Bhuta for three wonderful kisses!
He is sleeping now, getting ready for our travel adventures tomorrow to visit our old cottage in Indiana and see a lot of family.

Beachy Day

Finally napped on the way to the beach
Rocco having fun in the sand

Waking up- puts arms behind his head like Daddy

Sandy Rocco- he likes to put it in his mouth, yummy
We had a nice day. We went to the Y early in the morning and then met a new daycare person for when Mama goes back to work. We like her and her toys and the other kiddos. Oliver is excited to make new friends soon. We came home and played, played, played, packed for our trip, and played some more.
Then we met Rocco and Akane (Oliver called her pony) at the beach. We had fun, Oliver slept for awhile, then woke up to cuddle and then play in the sand. We had fun. The boys liked rinsing off in the little shower, Rocco got a little upset because he didn't want to leave it!
We came home and ate dinner with Daddy, then we all went for a walk to the water tower. Ranger had fun running all over the place, and Oliver was having a blast running, climbing, and talking about what he saw! We had a nice day.

Meeting a Friend

On the slide with Katrina
Getting ready to swing- it looks like they are
having an intense conversation

We had a busy day today. In the afternoon we went to play group at Glen Park. Oliver likes to play with all the kids but he found a little friend who wasn't part of our playgroup. She really liked Oliver. She took him down the slide, she pushed him on the swing, and I saw them kiss! We better watch out for our Romeo!

Building a Coop

Oliver in his cowboy boots- looking at Grandma's
treasure trove of toys
Playing peekaboo with Grandma

In the coop

Aerial shot of the boys and the coop

Daddy tried to take a picture of Mama, Owl, and Ranger
walking on the road to the water tower. Can't see us....
but it was a fun walk!
Today we went to the Y in the morning. Oliver is very into hiking the little trail and the bridge in the front of the Y, he had to do it before and after today! When we were leaving we watched the skateboarders for awhile and then made our way to Grandma and Bhuta's house. Oliver had fun playing and singing his Raffi songs.
After a really nice nap- Oliver helped Daddy with building a chicken coop. When Daddy used a drill, Oliver would watch but cover his ears- like Daddy told him too! They were having tons of fun and even took a break to play with a baby lizard they found! After Mama took Oliver and Ranger up to the water tower to see the lake and get some fresh air. Then off to the bath and big boy bed. Oliver had a nice day filled with people he loves.

Fishing with Daddy

Happy and Ready for his fishing trip
Smiling for the camera

Look how pretty it was, can you spot a smiling
toddler?

Can you see the coyote? Oliver defenitly inherited
his Daddy's gift for spotting wildlife!

Oliver's first fish

Sleeping after a satisfying day of fishing

Oliver had a wonderful day. He went to the Y in the morning with Mama and played with toys and friends, then he had a mini-cupcake at the Elizabethan Bakery. He got a make-up cupcake because the other day his finger was sore and hurt when we went there and Mama had to throw out his little cupcake.... He ate this one with gusto and lots of comments!

When we got home we helped Daddy with things inside. Then the boys went fishing while Mama had a little party. The boys went to Lake Wohlford in Escondido. Oliver sat in his chair next to his Daddy, he spotted a coyote across the lake before Daddy did. He told Daddy about the dog he saw, and Daddy told him that was a coyote. Then Oliver informed Daddy that a Coyote is like a dog. (Something Mama taught Oliver more than a month ago!)
Oliver caught the first fish, they let it go, but he told Mama that, "Oliver got the first fish!" He had a lot of fun and was still on a Daddy fishing high when he got home, it took him awhile to settle down and get out of his dirty clothes and fall asleep. What a cute fisherman! (The other fisherman was asleep by 8:30!)

Balloonhead

Holding on tight to his balloon

This morning Oliver went to Stephanie's to hang out while Mama got some things done around the house! He had so much fun. He played with Sky and a new boy Dylan. And of course he was excited to see the baby girls! He always enjoys going to Stephanie's and he told me that he played with toys and took a nap!

Afterwards we went to Trader Joes to pick up a few things and he got a balloon, but he got upset when we were leaving because he wanted a treat. It just dawned on me now, that the treat was the samples in the back of the store that we did not walk by, oops. Routine is so important to little ones (and big ones too!).

In the evening we ate dinner on the deck with Ranger sitting at our feet waiting for leftovers. He went to bed anticipating his fishing day with Daddy tomorrow!

Grammie, Kidsville, and Daddy

Getting into the firetruck at the station

Playing with a dollie and a stethoscope. Future Doctor Lily?

Going the wrong way up the slide....

Playing cashier- they stocked the shelfs

Playing tractors on the pirate ship

Fireman with a passenger in the back

At the yogurt shop
Buddies

Danielle looking for Owl, when Mama went to Eileens
to leave for Mamas night out.... (Wondering why MereMere
didn't bring Owl.)

Oliver had a fun day. In the morning he got to hang out with Grammie while Mama had an appointment. He always loves playing with his Grammie, he ate a lot at her house, and cooked Grammie food in his own kitchen. When Mama takes him there he says, "Mama go bye-bye." He is totally comfy there, Grammie's house is like one big playhouse.

Afterwards he took a nice nap and then we met Shelley, Emmi, and Lily at Kidsville in Poway. It is a really neat indoor playground, like a little town. Oliver loved the pirate ship, fire stations, and the kitchen! Emmi tumbled down the slide a few times and was having fun playing store, and Lily was having the time of her life exploring everything. It was fun, and Oliver loved going to get yogurt afterwards. He sat next to Emmi and they ate their yogurt together.
In the evening Daddy and Oliver hung out, got fishing supplies for their fishing expedition they are taking on Saturday. (Mama was at her first Mama's night out with the playgroup moms.) Daddy and Oliver were both sleeping when she got back- Mama could get used to this once a month! Oliver had a wonderful full day.

Movie Wednesday

Loves the claw machine- we used to play it all the
time at Fred Meyer in Washington
Danielle driving, Rocco getting ready too.

Oliver's crocs, he is sitting in the seat-
Rocco is standing and watching

Enthralled in the 20 minute previews

Excited Daddy finished putting together his dresser-
He was stuffing clothes in....
Oliver had a fantastic day. We went to the movies in the morning with Eileen, Danielle, Akane, and Rocco. The kiddos had fun playing in the lobby. The movie was fun too, but none of us got to watch the movie in full without going to the lobby, changing a diaper, or chasing a toddler up the aisle! It was fun though! Akane and Rocco were the only ones who finished the movie- he fell asleep. Danielle was really active and ready for a nap, so they left early. Oliver was excited, but towards the end he said, "I want to go home," so we left early. We will try again another day! (Mama will need to see Harry Potter all over again :)
In the afternoon, Oliver slept for over 3 1/2 hours! Wow! His tummy is feeling much better and he is pretty much back to his normal self. He played with Daddy, helping him around the house. He took a nice bath and fell asleep nicely in his big boy bed.

Farmer's Market

Oliver doing pilates before sleeping last night
Can you find the fire that Daddy spotted at 6 am?

The sun rising

Eureka! He has found the magazines at the
Escondido Library
This morning Oliver and Mama went to the Y. We had fun and then played with Danielle and Eileen afterwards. Oliver has been a bit fussy the past few days from the heat and some tummy trouble. Hopefully a suggestion from a Mummy at playgroup will start helping. We came home and he took an awesome nap.
Then he helped Mama clean up, we all ate dinner, and then we headed to the weekly Escondido Farmer's Market. It was fun. We made the loop twice then walked around the old town and discovered the libary. Daddy found the magazines, Mama and Oliver almost found the kid section but then the library was closing. We will go back again. After we went to Barnes and Noble to play and read. It was fun.

Playgroup

Eating his hot dog and grapes
Cutie Patooty

This afternoon, we went to our playgroup. Oliver had fun playing on the toy structure, walking barefoot in the sand, swinging and laughing, and chasing Danielle up a long hill. We came home and he ate a hot dog on the deck, giving most of it to Ranger of course! He is just hanging out on the couch now with his horse truck, getting ready for a bath and then sleep. The sun is making us tired!

Hot Day

Eating a cool popsicle and checking out the view
Relaxing in the 90 degree weather

Daddy taking a siesta in Oliver's room- he'd
rather nap than have a popsicle
It was hot today! We had fun in the morning though. Mama and Oliver went to the Y. Oliver had fun playing and then we were going to go to family swim, but he was a bit fussy. Mama thinks it was a combination of the heat and the fact that he woke up at 6 am! So instead we hiked around this little garden at the Y, he got a snack, and then we got our oil changed. He likes that! Then he met up with Daddy and visited with Bhuta and Grandma again. Lucky boy!
He took an excellent nap, but woke up still fussy. We went to the grocery store to pick up a couple of things for dinner and he had fun in the car cart. Then we ate a nice dinner. Then he rocked climbed by the pool while Mama and Daddy worked on cleaning out the last of the water (we are draining it and refilling it because it was not ready when we moved in-- we are trying to make it ready for the summer heat!) Oliver had fun being a rock climber! Then he took a nice bath and went to sleep.
