Today was a nice day. Oliver woke up and was in a super good mood. He played with Mama and Daddy and ate breakfast. Mama and Oliver went for a long run, and then came home and played Legos and got ready for the day. We cruised over to Aunt Jessica's to clean up our mess (sorry Jessica) and then stopped by our favorite Carlsbad coffee shop to visit Oliver's girlfriends. He picked flowers for them himself from the plant out front and ran in to give it to them. They surprised him with a rose from a bouquet someone had given them! He was very excited. And what is even more special- he gave it to me in the car! So sweet--and he knows it!

We came home and took a nap then we hung out with family. Oliver got to see Aunt Katy, Uncle Joey and Kalyn and hang out with Daddy, Bhuta, and Grandma. We had some yummy appetizers and then Oliver went to bed. Tomorrow is a new year!

Busy Busy, Messy Messy

Daddy and Oliver looking at the early morning
trash truck.

Today was a busy day, we went for a run in the morning. We are trying to see all the Santas and Snowman before they are packed away for the year. We played with Oliver's new legos, we made a bridge and drove his new school bus underneath it. Oliver also played with his fire truck a lot!

We did a bunch of errands, stopping at Aunt Jessica's to eat our lunch. (She is not there, she is in Europe!) We made a huge mess, Oliver likes to play at her apartment! We left the mess, thinking we have time to clean it up, Jess doesn't get back until Jan 18th. But guess what, Aunt Allison went over there after work (we all have keys), she thought the mess was so funny that she bought her friend over to see it too! Oliver knows how to leave a mark! We will clean it later!

Oliver played with Daddy when we got home and blew Grandma and Bhuta kisses goodnite!

Animal Lover

Looking at a horse and clicking his tongue

Horses

Oliver is definitely an animal lover. He is a lot like his Daddy. Oliver and Mama went for a short walk today to see some horses. We saw 4 horses near the fire road and one horse on the big hill of Double L Ranch Rd (Mama's legs were tired from walking back up!) Oliver looks at the horses and clicks his tongue to get their attention. He loves horses. (He has a horse figurine that he holds when we are driving in the car.)

Oliver has a runny nose today and is feeling warm and a little fussy. He helped Mama run some errands, took a good nap, cleaned the house with his vacuum, and played with Patches. He also got to pet a woman's therapy dog today. He is so sincere and caring with animals, he also likes to bird watch. He may be an ornithologist one day!

Best Friend = Bhuta

Little Man Asleep

Daddy put the slippers on the Monkey (Oliver can say Monkey)

Beautiful Evening

Today was a nice day. The weather was pretty nice, cool but sunny. Oliver played with Daddy in the morning for a few minutes then Mama took over! Oliver was a bit fussy this morning, so Mama hurried to take him on a run. That usually settles him down, he loves to be outside, and he enjoys the company of his dog. So we went for a long 9 mile run today. Ranger came along, it was really nice.
Afterwards Oliver and I got ready, did some chores, ate lunch, and then went to see Grammie and Grandpa. Oliver was playing kitchen with Grammie and he was making real cookies in his oven and had them on the cookie sheet, he used a spatula to serve them to Mama and Grandpa. Oliver got to play with his x-mas presents, Aunt Jessica got him some really cool big boy legos! Yeah! He fell asleep on the way home and took a nice nap.
He woke up to see Daddy, Great Uncle Jack, Bhuta and Grandma. He loves his family. Grandma was spinning him around and making him excited.
The highlight of the day was when we were talking about friends, Grandma and I asked Oliver who his best friend was and he said, "Bhuta!" Bhuta liked that answer!

They went to REI, Oliver played in the tents and reorganized/restocked their hiking boots. Daddy couldn't get new boots with Oliver, but he had fun! When he came home he took a long nap.

After he woke up Mama and him went to visit Uncle Matthew at his new condo. Oliver can say Matthew really well! They played a lot and laughed a lot, while Mama cooked dinner. Oliver loves his Uncle Matthew, we had fun. He is sleeping well now, after such a full day!

Today was another busy exciting day. Oliver woke up and went to visit his Bhuta. He was excited to see him, and is happy to have him at home again. Oliver went for a run with Mama and Ranger and then did some holiday errands. We went to the Golden Baked Ham store and waited in a long line-it wrapped around the building. Oliver was a little firecracker--everyone in line was in good spirits and was laughing at all the funny things Oliver was doing! (They were also nice enough to save my place in line, since I had to get out of line often....)

We went to the library to drop off and pick up some books, and then went to pick up Patches to bring her home. Aunt Jessica is going to Switzerland for 2 weeks (lucky-duck), so Patches is going to stay with us for awhile.

Oliver got to see all of his family today. He loved showing Bhuta our new singing snowmen, and playing with Grandma, and kissing Aunt Katy, and making funny howling noises with Uncle Joey.
At dinner at his Grammie and Grandpa's house. He had fun running around playing with his kitchen, opening a present with a "live Elmo" he was a little scared of it, eating dinner with everyone. We had a great time.
He is sleeping soundly in between Mama and Daddy and has warm Patches at his feet. We are listening for Santa and his reindeer tonite!

Bhutas (Grandpa) Home

Bhuta and Oliver in the summer

Just chillin

Today was a busy day. We woke up early and Oliver got to eat breakfast with his Daddy and Mama, and see his Aunt and Uncle. Then they all took off to help bring Bhuta home. Oliver and I took Ranger for a short run and came home to put the flowers we picked for Bhuta in a vase. Oliver made a Welcome home sign, adding some beautiful color touches to it, there was also a snowman.

Oliver went to Stephanie's for awhile, and then Mama picked him up. We came home to find Bhuta and some people who are helping Bhuta get comfortable at home with his new breathing device. Oliver is very, very happy that Bhuta is home now. We went to pick up some stuff for Grandma and Oliver showed off his Santa hat to everyone, he loves wearing it! He is sleeping now next to Daddy. He is going to sleep well, and in the morning will get to see Bhuta at breakfast. Yeah!!!!

Rainy Day

Helping Mama carry in the last of the grocieries

Today it rained and Oliver loved it! We ran in the morning and then went to Stephanie's. Oliver likes to watch the rain when we are driving in the car. He had fun with his friends, there is an excitement in the house and among the kids, they know Santa is coming. In the evening, Oliver played with Daddy and took a shower with Daddy. Oliver came down the stairs in his robe and diaper after his shower, so cute! They spent some time jumping off the couch, that is pretty cute too! We had a nice day and can't wait to see Grandpa and Grandma tomorrow!

While Kalyn and Mama got things ready around the house for Grandma and Grandpa to come home, Oliver played his little heart out with his Uncle! Uncle Joey helped Oliver eat a really big lunch, and they played with Oliver's bike in the front yard. Oliver was cracking up with Uncle Joey while they were watching Ranger and Ian play. Uncle Joey helped Oliver sleep by taking him on a little errand and then helped babysit Oliver while Mama went grocery shopping with Kalyn. Oliver had so much fun today! He loves playing with his Uncle Joey!

Then we were off to visit Bhuta and Grandma. Oliver was super excited to see his Grandpa, he brought him a flower from our run, and a snowman picture.
