Oliver ready to fish

Today Oliver hung out with daddy. Mommy is on her way to her Grandpa's memorial in Indiana. Oliver went fishing at Lake Dixon; he helped drive the boat all by himself. Later he helped build a big fort that we are going to sleep in for the next two nights, he kept singing Bob the Builder songs as we built it.

Trucks from a Friend

Trying to take all of his trucks to the other room

These are so cool- and so old!

Telling me his flatbed truck is for sale

He wanted $300 for it! (Mommy gave him $0.35, he was happy with that!)

Oliver had a great day. He hung out with Daddy in the morning and called Mommy on the phone- we had a great conversation! He played with his friends at Joan's house then Mommy picked him up and we had to go back to Mommy's school to do some work. Oliver hasn't been there in a long time-Mommy has been trying really hard to get him into good routines at home- he liked going though for a bit and he made glue pictures for Mommy, Amanda, and Jamie. Afterwards, we came home to eat dinner with Daddy, play with his new trucks (Our friend Barbara at the Y gave them to us-she still has tons of her children's toys-her children are in their 40s!!!), take a bath, and then he watched UFC with Daddy. He fell asleep with Mommy in his room. He had a nice day.

***Mommy is going to Indiana tomorrow for her Grandpa's memorial service. Daddy will be working on the blog this weekend.***

A Stop at Henry's

The pledge to yourself that I have in my classroom.
Mommy likes saying it everyday. Daddy likes saying it everyday, and Mommy
is going to teach it to Oliver soon....

Shopping at Henry's

He is such a good shopper.

Oliver had a good day. He played with Daddy in the morning and then they went to Joan's house. Oliver had a good time there- he got a big hug from Tabitha when he came in the morning- the kids were watching a man with a truck working in a manhole. That sounds like a lot of fun! When Mommy picked him up we went to Henry's to stock up on some yummies for the boys while Mommy is in Indiana this weekend. (They are planning what they are going over the weekend right now!)
Oliver took an awesome bath and then hung out with Mommy and Daddy.

Our tickets and the program

We had a great Sunday. Oliver came to our bedroom in the morning and cuddled with Mommy. Then we went and made homemade pancakes and ate breakfast with Daddy. Then we played and organized things around the house. It was fun pulling out lots of Oliver's old toys!

After we got dressed and stopped by the Y for a little bit to play. After that we went to the Coast Theatre in Oceanside and saw our first play together- Alice in Wonderland. Our friend Donna from the Y (Mommy sees her exercising and Oliver plays with her at Childwatch) and her family were there watching her daughter play one of the cats in the play. It was so neat- the three cats were the narrators of the whole play! Katie (Donna's daughter) was amazing! Oliver loved the play and said he wanted to "play" up on the stage too!

Afterwards, Oliver got a little drink and we were strolling back to the car. Mommy asked Oliver what his favorite part of the play was and Oliver thought about it for a second then said, "The whole part!" So glad he had so much fun!

Now we are getting ready for bed- it may be a bit- since he had a late nap! It was a great Sunday!

Oliver had a pretty good day. He got a little off routine this morning when we had a visitor to our house who comes once a month to clean. He was a little shy and a little bit crazy and didn't want to change into his clothes. Mommy finally comprised with Oliver and we left for the Y, in the future we plan on not being there like we usually have done. Once we got to the Y- Oliver changed his clothes and had fun playing. We hung out in the lobby and also watched swimmers in the pool. Then we went to the special cupcake bakery and got some treats to share with Grammie. Then we visited with Grammie. Oliver had a nice time playing and visiting- we haven't seen Grammie in awhile!
Then we came home to rest, play with his baby chicks that Daddy brought Oliver, and then we all went to a Sushi restaurant in Poway. It was fun- Oliver shared Mommy's bento box with her and then he fell asleep on the way home.

Checking out toys that had fallen through the cracks....

He is so curious....

Playing Horsey

Oliver had a wonderful day. He came and cuddled with Mommy early in the morning and they both fell back asleep. We woke up and went to feed the chickens and Ranger then Oliver used the potty a few times (yippee!!!). Then we made our way to the Y to play and exercise! We had fun at the Y and then went to Oliver's check up and cleaning at the dentist. He was awesome. He did everything Nurse Brooke asked him to do, it was amazing. Mommy wishes she had brought her camera in! Dr. Davis said that Oliver's teeth were beautiful and to keep up the good work. (Oliver even brushed his teeth in the parking lot because he wanted to impress Dr. Davis- it was pretty cute!)
After the dentist, we stopped by the library- Oliver wanted to go recheck out Potty Time with Bear. Then we made our way to Playwerx- Oliver has earned it- he is doing an awesome job with his stickers! He had fun playing and eating his lunch- then we made our way home- stopping at Trader Joe's on the way, we can't resist that place! We rested when we got home after a long day....and said hi to Daddy who was back from his Mountain/kayaking work trip.
After dinner we walked up to the water tower. Ranger went with us and Oliver said to Ranger, "I love you." It was cute. Oliver fell asleep next to Daddy watching Cars. It was a great Friday.

Oliver had a great day. He went to Joan's with Daddy and they drove through the puddle in Elfin Forest! Oliver had fun playing with his friends at Joan's house. They were in their nests playing library when Mommy came to pick him up. They have so much fun!
We stopped by Albertsons in San Elijo Hills on the way home- Oliver drove in a car cart that was missing the top. We called it a convertible (Oliver calls them "mirables.") It was great! We came home, ate dinner, played outside, and then Oliver wanted to wear his underwear and practice the potty. He went pee pee twice and tried to go poo poo twice. He is doing an awesome job! We are going to do some more practicing tomorrow!

This bird looks pretty comfortable in his nest

Mom bird feeding her baby birds

Oliver had a great day! He hung out with Daddy in the morning and then went to Joan's house in the special Jeep. On the way there they drove through a big puddle since it rained the night before! Later Mommy picked him up and the kiddos were having so much fun in little nests. Joan was the Mama bird and the babies would be asleep in their nests, then when she flew in the babies would wake up and eat food from their Mama. It was super cute. Oliver even said, "Thanks Mom." When Joan gave him food. They have so much fun with her! It is great to see!

In the evening, Oliver played for a bit in Mommy's new car- he usually does that when we get home anyways- but today he spent extra long investigating our new car. Ranger has been investigating it too! Afterwards, we ate dinner and then took our weekly trip to FroYo. We brought some back to Daddy because he was feeling too tired to go, now Oliver is laying with Daddy watching UFC fights! It was a nice Wednesday.

Goat and Horse Visit

Playing yesterday in the coffee table
(Mommy took some cute goat and horse pics but
she has to figure out how to get them off her phone!)

Oliver had a great day. He went to Joan's house in the morning and he wore his big boy underwear! He showed the same interest in the potty there as he did at home! He had a couple of accidents, and ended up wearing his diaper- but he is on his way!!! (It makes Mommy really proud that he wants to wear underwear and try at Joan's house!) He also tried tonite when we got home! Yippee!!!

After we got home we drove up to Ramona again with Daddy. We picked up Mommy's new car that we bought used from a nice couple up there. Mommy and Oliver now have a Subaru Forester! Fun!!! The couple had a goat and a horse that we all played with. The goat was a little ham- he was showing off for Oliver and I! He was turning around in circles and jumping up real high to make us laugh- then the horse would kiss the goat! It was great! Oliver drove home with Mommy in her new car- he is just excited as Mommy!

We came home and now Oliver and Daddy are resting and watching Rascal Flatts on the computer. Sweet dreams.

Mountain Lion

Daddy placed his cuddeback camera that is motion sensored out in the mountains where he has been working. Look what walked past his camera. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Mountain Lions are so elusive- wow, Daddy is a great wildlife biologist. (He found evidence of the lion so he decided to place his camera there. Wow!)

Pinwheel and Wind

Beautiful Pinwheel and his blue rock to the left

Watching the pinwheel from inside

Oliver had a fantastic Sunday! We spent the day at home, playing, organizing, playing, and then went down the street for some groceries. Oliver brought home a giant pinwheel from Big Lots (we went there to get bins for all the recent holiday things he has accumulated....), he was really proud of the pinwheel. Daddy dug a hole in the little wildflower garden by our porch and we set Oliver's painted rock in the garden too! It is looking very colorful. It was the perfect day to get the pinwheel since it got really windy- Oliver watched it turn from the window inside. Fun!

Oliver did an awesome job with his routine tonite. He even went potty by himself on the potty and then after his bath he went poo-poo all by himself. He pressed the easy button on his own too! He wanted to wear underwear to bed- but Mommy read him a book and the little girl in it wears diapers at night so she doesn't have to worry about accidents- he changed his mind. Hopefully he wants to wear underwear tomorrow! Yippee!!!

Look at Oliver!!!

He is so cute and brave!

He was at ease...

Trying to reach out for the rocks....

Painting his rock

Checking out the police car

Oliver had an awesome Saturday. We woke up and all cuddled in bed, then we played and got ready for a fun morning at the Y. Mommy exercised and Oliver played with his two favorite gals at Childwatch- then we walked over the the Y's Healthy Kids Fair.

Oliver got a bracelet and a free t-shirt (fun) just for coming to the fair! He started at the big bouncy course- he waited patiently in line and made it all the way through the course- he is pretty amazing! Then he drew with chalk, got some fruit, and then told me he wanted to try the rock climbing wall. So we walked over there- he was allowed to do it- so Mommy let him! He was awesome! Mommy is so proud of him for being such a brave little man! After that fun experience we went to the rock painting table and Oliver painted a rock- both girls there said that he was very focused! He certainly was- he painted just like he draws! After that he took a break and ate a snack- then we made our way to the police car. The police officer gave Oliver a sticker and Mommy some brochures (Oliver told Daddy that Mommy got another ticket- pretty funny!!!) Then we made our way to the car.

We had a great afternoon at home and went to Ramona later to look at something with Daddy and Daddy took us to his favorite Mexican restaurant- it was yummy. On the way home Oliver fell asleep. We had a great day.

Climbing the wall- We love the Y!!!
