Carlsbad Strawberry Fields

Eating the first berry given to them
by the shopkeeper

We have been staying at our new house the last three nights and do not have internet yet. We should be receiving it on Saturday and I will update the blog with all the wonderful things that Oliver has been doing at our new house (Examples: big boy bed, his own bathtub, offroading with Daddy, eating snacks and lunch, unpacking....)
On Tuesday we took a break from unpacking and meeting with utility people to meet Danielle and Eileen at the strawberry patch in Carlsbad. We haven't seen them for a couple of weeks because we haven't been going to swim and they were in NY (luckies). They had a great time eating and picking and helping their Mamas.

Enjoy the pics and thanks Eileen for sending them over!

2nd Haircut

Mama and Aunt Jessica- Runners

Sleeping with his new haircut *I took some cute pics

at the hair place with my phone, but can't figure out

how to post on the blog, bummer!*

Oliver had a fantastic Sunday. He got to spend time with Daddy in the morning, while Mama ran in the La Jolla 1/2 Marathon with Aunt Jessica. Oliver played with Daddy, and ate lunch with Grandma and Daddy. When Mama came home, Oliver wore her medal, and then Oliver took a nap. After napping he visited with Bhuta, gave him and Grandma a sweet kiss, and then left with Mama to get his hair cut.

Oliver did a fantastic job! The airplane and motorcyle seats weren't available so he got to sit in the hot pink barbie car. He didn't care, it was a car! The hairdresser, did a fantastic job, and Oliver didn't make a peep. I think he likes getting his hair cut! After he got to choose a prize from the treasure box! We will visit again when he needs another haircut!

Afterwards we went and played at our new house. His bedroom is pretty much ready, he just needs his dresser put together so we can put away clothes! His bed is ready and he is excited!

Little Helper and Fat Lip

He has had a great personality since day one!
Oliver was my helper today. He helped me make pancakes and eggs for Mama, Oliver, Daddy, and Ranger. Then he helped me take Ranger for a fast run. Then we went to pick up Mama's running stuff for the La Jolla Half Marathon, he held my bag and also had two sample smoothies. Then we went to our new house to unpack boxes and put things away. He also helped Daddy with some things in the yard. He wore his new shoes that Aunt Jessica gave him that are still a little too big. He would not take them off and insisted on wearing them, it was pretty cute. He took a nice nap on the papasan cushion.
In the evening on the way out he hit a handrail thingy in our front entryway and his lip bled, now he has a puffy top lip. Poor little man.

Not Quite Ready

Another picture from yesterday
We are still working on our new house. We need to make some adjustments to Oliver's bed so it can accomodate his tent and blankets. Mama and Daddy are also working on getting our pilot lights lit so we have use of the stove and hot water! Hopefully by the end of this weekend we will be sleeping in our new house!
We had fun playing there today after Mama picked Oliver up at Stephanie's. We were too tired to put away anything, so Mama and Oliver took a nice walk to the mailbox, ate dinner on the porch, and talked to Daddy a little.
It was a nice Friday.

Making Progress

Daddy hung a bird house outside Oliver's window

Oliver jumping on his new bed

Testing it out
Oliver had a nice day. He went to Stephanie's while Mama and Daddy worked. When Mama picked him up he was jumping on the trampoline, cutie patooty! We went to our new house and put a few things away, Oliver helped Daddy outside and inside, and then played on the tractor. We had a nice day and are happy that it cooled off today!

Camera is still missing

The other day at the library...

Our front door and beloved oak tree

Our pepper trees at the bottom of our property
Today Oliver went to play with his friends at Stephanie's. There was a new baby there and he was very interested in her and helped Stephanie feed her when Mama left. He was playing with his friends outside when Mama came to pick him up. Then we went to our new house, we went for a short run up to the water tower at the end of the road and looked at beautiful Lake Hodges and Elfin Forest from there. Then we went in the little street behind ours and a dog chased us along the fence, good times!
Oliver played with Daddy while Daddy put Oliver's big boy bed together, then Oliver and Mama came back to Grandma and Bhuta's to sleep. Our new house will be ready for us to sleep in very, very soon. Oliver is lying next to me snoring, sweet babe.

Another day on Johnston Road

Our view on a colder day! (It was around 90 degrees the
past few days!)

Playing in the entry way, Jessica in the hallway.
It is already looking much different! More like home!
We went for a nice warm run this morning, and Oliver came back and patiently waited and watched his sweet grandma wash Bhuta's hair. Oliver was waiting to give her flowers and she didn't see or hear him behind her. Bhuta was the first to see Oliver. It was really sweet.

We spent another nice day at our house getting things ready. When we got there Oliver had fallen asleep in the car, so he slept for awhile on the papasan cushion. When he woke he played, read books, took care of his bear, helped Mama vaccum, explored his new house, and more!
We went to home depot together to get some essentials and he had fun watching a fork lift and talking to all the people that work there! When daddy came home, they ate an orange from our orange tree and played outside together. It was a nice day.

A Day at our new house

I still think this is funny

Cutie patooty
Today Oliver spent most of the day working at our new house. He was very helpful with putting stuff away and sweeping the floors. He kept sitting on different chairs with his winnie the pooh talking bear, and talking to the bear. He also had dinner holding onto his bear. He likes to sit at the bar stool and eat like a big boy, just like he does at daycare. It may be time to retire the high chair for now!

(I misplaced my camera, I should hopefully find it soon....)

Time with Aunt Allison

Playing at our house the other day.
Oliver had a great day. He hung out with Daddy and Mama in the morning, getting things ready to move to our new house. Then he got to go hang out with his Aunt Allison for awhile, while Mama painted and Daddy moved our heavy stuff. Oliver had a lot of fun and even got to play with his Uncle Matthew who came over to Aunt Allisons. He had a great day and is ready to spend the day with Mama tomorrow!

Big Day

Daddy's Special Project in Coronado had a
special celebration

Bikers ready to use the path

Playing with a car
We had a great day! Oliver and Mama went for a fast run in the morning and then brought stuff to our new house. Oliver had fun playing with his toys that are already there, and taking out his tools to do some "work."
While we were doing this Daddy had to leave early to go to an opening celebration for a 1.4 mile section of a bikepath he is in charge of monitoring in Coranado. It is a path that used to be a railroad, Daddy had fun taking pictures, and seeing all his and the construction crews hardwork being enjoyed by many bike riders. Yea Daddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oliver went over to Grammie's around lunch time so Mama could work on painting the house (hopefully she finishes tomorrow!). Oliver had fun running errands, eating yummy stuff, and cuddling with Grammie. He had a great day!

Daddy and Oliver talking about our garden

Our garden for our new house

Oliver had a great day. He went to play with his friends at Stephanie's, he went yesterday too! He has been having fun, while Mama is painting their new house. Yesterday Oliver brought home artwork he made with his friends. They are paper bowls with scribbles, and "I Love Mommy" written on the bottom, oh it made my heart stop when I saw them!

After Stephanie's we met Aunt Jessica at the coffee shop and Oliver ate a slice of pizza. He gave his Aunt Jessica lots of love! When we got home he said hello to Aunt Katy, his soon to be Uncle Scooter, and Grandma. Then he went crazy playing with his Daddy. He had a great day!

A Day at our New House

Watching the truck and furniture

Taking a nap on the Papasan cushion

Cuddling with mama after his nap

Aunt Kalyn wrapped him up, he loved it..

He loved breaking out of it too, with some help!
Today we had a busy day of furniture and appliance deliveries. We also had Grandpa, Aunt Jessica and later Aunt Kalyn come help with prepping with the house to paint. We had a lot of fun hanging out and prepping the house. Oliver enjoyed watching the men put the stove and fridge in place.
We had a great day!

Rainy Afternoon

Looking at the beautiful view from our
new house

Today we had a good day. Oliver played with his friends at Stephanie's for a bit, while Mama and Daddy went to their new house together. Mama worked on bringing some stuff over and preparing the walls to paint. Oliver helped a lot, he had his tools out and he kept saying I'm working, I'm working. Aunt Jessica helped us out a lot too! We had a lot of fun. It even rained in the afternoon, we love when it rains!

New House

Watching the machine make copies of our new house key.
Today we had a good day. Oliver and Mama went for a nice long run. Oliver fell asleep at the end of it and took a nice long nap. Then we got ready and met the real estate agent at our new house. We got the key and spent a little time at our new place! Oliver played a bit in his own room, he remembers which room he picked, its really, really, really cute! Afterwards we ran a few errands and then went to Grammie and Grandpa's to print and mail our taxes!
We came back to Bhuta and Grandma's to sleep, and Oliver cuddled with Grandma a bit. Then we went to sleep. He is dreaming of his new house and when he gets to go to it with his Daddy. (Daddy had to work late tonite!)

Hoppy Easter

Oliver with his Grandpa and Grammie

Oliver with a marshmallow bunny in his mouth

Checking out his stash

He had to take out all the eggs to put new ones in

Can you find the yellow egg?
So Mama is not to smart, she got Oliver all dressed up, Daddy showered and all in the car to go find an easter egg hunt. Whoops, they were all yesterday. At least we weren't the only family in the Y parking lot looking for the hunt!
Mama and Oliver went over to Grammie and Grandpa's house and there was a hunt going on there! The easter bunny hid 12 eggs for Oliver. He found about 5, then played with his basket that his grandparents gave him. He got lots of neat things. We played there for awhile, then later went to Aunt Jessica's and out to dinner with Uncle Matthew, Jess, and Grammie and Grandpa. We had fun, and Oliver really enjoyed his fish taco!
Happy Easter!

Busy Man

Oliver is learning to use the camera- see his toes

Oliver eating brunch with Grammie and Grandpa

Going to check out the horses and doghouse
in the dollhouse
Oliver had a nice day. He hung out with Daddy in the morning, eating macaroni and cheese, drinking milk, and reading the newspaper next to Daddy in a big boy chair. Then he went on a drizzly run with Mama, he wanted the rain cover on! We stopped at Grammie and Grandpa's house and he wanted to stay and play. Mama ran home and came back to pick him up, then went to run errands to get ready for our new house. After our errands we went to the library and colored pictures of bunny rabbits. Then we came home and went out to dinner with Daddy, and visited our new house. We all had fun playing in the yard, because we don't have keys yet. Oliver is learning about rocks and little hills. He fell asleep on the way home.

Shower

Visiting Aunt Katy and Scooter

Playing with Grandma

Happy to be together
This morning Oliver stood in the shower and asked for a shower. He took off his own clothes and diaper (with some help) and Mama helped him take a shower. He loved it! Then he got to play with his friends at Stephanie's and then he came home and ate dinner with Aunt Katy, Mama, Grandma and Scooter. Oliver had fun playing with Grandma and visiting with Bhuta, showing him his lightening McCain car. Later we went for a little family outing to Home Depot to look at things for our new house. We should be getting the keys on Monday...
Oliver fell asleep before Home Depot and slept on Mama's shoulder as she looked at things. He had a nice day.

Cutie Patooty

Last April

Last Easter- It took about 5 shots to get
this cute pic, in one Oliver has a chunk
of Grandma's hair
Today was a nice day. Oliver went to Stephanie's for a bit to play with friends. He loves playing there, and he learned some new words over there today, I'm not sure what they were but they were coming out in rapid speed!
We came home and played and cuddled, ate dinner, played more and with daddy, talked with Bhuta and blew him a kiss, then he went over to his Grammie's while Mama and Daddy had an appointment for their new house. Oliver was playing with about 5 different stuffed bunnies when I came to pick him up. He now knows the word "whiskers." He is sleeping peacefully now.
