Party and Palomar Mountain

Boys working with their wheelbarrows in the morning
Playing on the horsey at Jackson's house

Showing Lily how Elmo works (you have to squeeze his nose)
Oliver has the same Elmo at Grammie's house

Aimee and Jackson

Coming into Valley Center

Pretending he was a fierce Mountain Lion
(with his caveman baby in his arms)

Mama loves her hiking boots- she just needs
to wear them more often!

Hiking Oliver- Can you spot the hiding Daddy?

This sign made Mama stay a little bit closer to Oliver
It made Daddy want everyone to be a bit quieter- just in case...

On the move

Rock where the Native Americans made acorn mush-
Daddy and Oliver filled it with acornds

Mama and Oliver

We had another great day. Oliver and Mama went to the Y in the morning to get their exercise! Then we traveled to our friend Aimee's house and celebrated her son Jackson's 1st birthday! We had a great time visiting and meeting new people!
Then we picked Daddy up and took an afternoon trip up to Palomar Mountain! We had a fantastic time. We were all in good spirits and had fun seeing how things have changed on the drive there, and loved being in the state park! We had a little picnic and went for a hike. We also drove over to the National Forest part, and discovered the campgrounds have been reopened since we have been gone... Yippee!!!! We had a nice time- and we were remembering how when Mama and Daddy used to go hiking there every cute animal that Mama saw thought it looked like Patches. (Mama is really, really missing her.)
We drove past Lake Henshaw and looped around to the La Jolla Indian Reservation and stopped to get some ice cream sandwiches. It was a great day.
