A Day with Grammie and Grandpa

Oliver spent today with Grammie and Grandpa. He got to ride over there in Daddy's work jeep which is pretty loud and exciting! Mommy's never ridden in it but she guesses it must be a boy thing...

Oliver had a great time and played all day long. He ate a lot and did not take a nap, but he loves it over there! When Daddy dropped Oliver off he went straight for a truck and started playing! He fell asleep really early today and hopefully doesn't get up to early.... He is such a sweetie pie...with whip cream on top!

A Day of Play

Oliver had a really fun day. He played early at home, then played at the Y, then played at Grammie's while Mommy made some yummies for friends who just had babies, then he played for a bit with Danielle when we dropped off the yummies, then he played at home with Daddy. No time for a nap in there! He just fell asleep really fast with Daddy in his room at 7:00. He is such a cutie and loves to play with everybody and everything!

Oliver had a great day, he woke up to the pouring rain and came to cuddle with Mommy. (Daddy was already out in the rain- checking on his property...) We had an adventure getting ready and then we left for the Y, we had a great time there and then stopped by the library for some books and a DVD we needed. Afterwards we went to Grandma's for a nice Thanksgiving lunch with everyone. It was nice being with everyone, Oliver was a little rascal at the end so we came home to rest.

He played with Daddy a lot at night and now he is sleeping in his room with the baby chickens. Daddy decided to keep them inside tonite since it is wet and cold. Sleep tight Oliver and baby chickens.

Oliver had a great day, he padded into Mommy and Daddy's room and came to snuggle with us- early. We talked about all the crazy people who were already at the mall shopping....(6:00 am...) After we woke up Oliver and Mommy went to the Y to play, then stopped by Joan's house (Oliver will be going to her house in January!), then we went to the Zoo! Fun, Fun....we didn't get to see too much because it was crowded, but we had fun eating lunch together and seeing the giraffes, sun bears, an owl, a lot of monkies, pigs, a lion, and a tiger. Oliver said, "Roar!"

He had a great nap and is now playing with his Daddy.

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving. Oliver played a lot in the morning with Daddy, then helped Mommy cook some yummies for our dinner. Grandma came over around noon and we all cooked and played. Oliver didn't eat much of his yums, but Daddy made a really yummy turkey. (Bhuta would be very proud- he gave Daddy a lot of lessons on cooking and carving a turkey over the last few years.) Oliver showed Grandma his chickens after dinner, then she went home and Oliver took a nap.

We went over to Grammie and Grandpa's for dessert and Oliver got to see all of his aunts and uncles. He had fun eating some whip cream and playing with Mommy's old toys that Grandpa brought down from the attic and washed. He's got two really cool barbie cars that look like where he gets his haircut, cool! We had a wonderful day with family and are very thankful to be living near our family. Happy Thanksgiving!

Oliver had a wonderful day! He woke up early to play with Daddy. Mommy was already gone to exercise and work on her SPU class in her classroom where she had a lot of her resources. Daddy and Oliver made their way to meet Mommy in her classroom, but on the way they stopped at the river park to talk to the ducks. They came to Mommy's classroom around 9:30 and Oliver stayed with Mommy. He helped Mommy finish up her assignments and we left around 12:00. He was such a good helper! (He even learned how to take out papers from the copy machine when they are finished spitting out the copies...)

We met Daddy for lunch and ate at a spot overlooking Moonlight Beach- it was crowded for a November day! After Oliver helped Mommy get a shot at the doctors office, he kissed it for Mommy. Then we made our way home, he had an awesome nap and then we he woke up, Mommy was finally finished with her class so we took it to the post office where he helped Mommy mail is off to Seattle. Yay!!! For the rest of the night we got the house ready for Thanksgiving day and now everyone is ready for bedtime.

This morning Oliver, Mommy, and Ranger went for a run at Lake Hodges. The weather was perfect, the tires are finally filled with air, and Ranger was so, so excited! We ran pretty fast and then made our way home. Oliver and Mommy did a pilates video together- Oliver put his legs just like the ladies in the video! He is such a good exerciser! Then we played around the house, cleaned, organized, and had fun.

After we made our way over to Grammie's house. Grammie watched Oliver for a little bit while Mommy went to the library again. Mommy is almost done with her class- she hopes to finish by Friday! Mommy and Oliver then came home and Oliver took a wonderful nap. After we did our Thanksgiving shopping and then Oliver spent time with Daddy (we all ate "deer burgers" for dinner) while Mommy went back out to finish the shopping. It is busy in the grocery store and it is not easy to find a Free Range Turkey!

We had a wonderful day!

Oliver has a good day with his Mommy. We woke up early and ate breakfast together. Then we went to the Y early and played. Afterwards we visited another lady who does daycare. We had fun there, and are going to go back and visit again! Then we got our oil changed, ate lunch, went through the bank drive-thru (he wanted to go in for a sucker....), and then came home to play and take a nap.

In the evening we played a lot, ate some yummy dinner- he chose to sit at the big table, and then he took a bath with Daddy and now they are both sleeping. We had a nice day.

Today was a great day. Oliver woke up in a great mood, he came and cuddled with Mommy in bed and gave her some really sweet long kisses. Then we played around the house and ventured to the Y for a little bit. Oliver wore his pajamas all day and went really fast down the slide because his jammies were slippery. It was pretty shocking for him, but he got over it pretty fast. After we visited Grandma's cats, Sammy and Rudy. We fed them and brought the newspaper in, Grandma was visiting Aunt Katy in L.A. Oliver had fun playing with an old toy while we were there. After we came home.

Oliver played with Daddy for awhile then took a nice long nap. After the nap we all ate dinner together, our yummy venison, Oliver got to have the first bite! Then we went to get frozen yogurt and now we are all working on going to sleep. It was a nice day.

Oliver had a great day! He went to the butcher shop in the morning with Daddy to pick up our Venison! Yummo! They had a great time together and they drove past Mommy and Ranger on their run! Later Oliver helped Mommy with a couple errands, then he took a nice little nap, and then spent the rest of the day at Grammie and Grandpa's house. Mommy and Daddy went to a beautiful wedding of their friends Susan and David, at the Lodge at Torrey Pines.

Oliver had fun playing with his grandparents and was conked out when we picked him up at 8:30. He is such a cutie patooty.

Oliver had a good day. He got to hang out with Mommy and Daddy in the morning. We went to a diner for a yummy, messy breakfast. Syrup was involved! We had fun together. Then Oliver and Mommy went to the Y. Oliver hasn't been to play in awhile and he was ready- he had a great time! After that we hung out and saw a friend from our playgroup and played with them for awhile. Oliver bought his first newspaper from the machine outside, he liked that!

After we visited a new daycare- we are searching for a new one. Things didn't work out with Jan and we are moving on...... Oliver will be in the most loving and nurturing hands the month of December (when Mommy and Daddy work)- his Grandmas and his Aunt Ali....

After that, we went to Grammie and visited- Grandpa is home for Thanksgiving so Oliver hung out with them for awhile...Mommy went to the library to work on finishing her Seattle Pacific Uni class. Oliver had a lot of fun, he loves all of his toys there---they seem to keep multiplying.....

In the evening, he ate dinner and then played and watched our new Sesame Street video, Elmo Bedtime. He likes it and I can tell he is already learning from it!

Remembering Some More

Today is the 11th anniversary of Uncle Tommy's death. Just as we are missing Bhuta a lot, we miss Tommy a lot too. Tommy was very special and we will always remember him. And just as we are keeping Bhuta's memory alive for Oliver, we are trying to tell Oliver who and what Tommy Oliver McCain was like!!!

So if you have a memory you want to share about Tommy or you have a special thought to share we would love for it to be posted for Oliver.

We are ready for our Winter Solstice Campout...

Oliver got to go to Grandma's this morning for a little while, while Daddy and Mommy worked. Oliver and Grandma went for a walk to see the horses and they also saw a goat, wow! Oliver brought home some art work with stickers! He said that he had fun!

In the evening we all ate dinner together and now Oliver and Mommy are watching Bedtime with Elmo! Nighty-Nite!

Oliver had a good day with Daddy. They went to the Wild Animal Park for awhile! They saw lots of animals and two shows! They even went on a train ride! Oliver came home and missed his Mommy and luckily Mommy got to come home early on her "late Tuesday!" So Mommy and Oliver ate dinner together, walked to the mailbox (Mommy wore Oliver!), and then played a little! Now he is going to sleep early with his Daddy....

Oliver had a great day! In the morning he hung out with Grammie while Mommy exercised. Oliver is having fun having mini visits with Grammie! Oliver then went home with Mommy- we played and got ready to have Grandma, Uncle Joey, and Aunt Kalyn over. They came over for some yummy lunch that Grandma brought. Oliver loved her Lentil Soup. It was tasty! Then Oliver showed everyone his new baby chickens. Oliver decided that Grandma gets her own chicken! Its a little brown one and he calls it, "Grandma's Chicken!" We had a nice time. After they left, Oliver took a nice nap, then we played more and ate dinner.

Oliver ate his whole corn on the cob! (He eats it just like Bhuta used too! Bhuta would be very proud of him!) After dinner he ate some yummy pumpkin bars Mommy made (while he showered with Daddy) and now he is trying to fall asleep on his own! Great Sunday!

Oliver had a great day! Daddy was busy skinning his deer- its hanging from the oak tree in the picture, Oliver watched a bit from the window. Daddy took it the butched shop to get it nicely cut so we can have venison for a long time. Daddy made sure he said, "Thank you" to the deeer after he shot it last night near the mountains (not at our house...).

Oliver and Mommy were busy bees around the house this morning, then we took Ranger for a 5 mile run, the weather was perfect! We came home and Oliver lifted some hand weights with Mommy, then we ran some errands. Oliver took a nice nap- and woke up just in time to go to Danielle's 2nd Birthday! It was great fun- Oliver got to see all of his friends, eat a yummy cupcake that Akane made, and play play play! He is sleeping now! Happy that Danielle is two just like him!

Oliver had a great day. He played with Grammie in the morning while Mommy exercised. Grammie has been traveling a lot and wanted some playtime with Oliver, they played kitchen together! Then Mommy took Oliver to the dentist and to the Doctor. Oliver is fine, we just needed to get some checkups! We came home and he took a nap, then Grammie came over to check out our new driveway and garage door! Then we ventured to World Market (2 miles down the road-danger!) to get some bookshelves, to complete the inside of our comfy home! We ate at Pat and Oscars for dinner and Aunt Ali met us there too! It was a nice day.

When we got home Daddy was hard at work, getting his first deer ready for the butcher! He is going to finish skinning it and taking it to the butcher in the morning. Oliver will get to go with Daddy. (Mommy doesn't want to put pictures on the blog, maybe after it is cut into venison steaks....) Good Job Daddy!

Swim

Oliver had a good day at Jan's, he was playing up a storm when Mommy came to pick him up. Oliver and Mommy went to the Y to play and wait an hour for swim class to start. We met a sweet little girl and saw one of Mommy's scholars! It was fun. But then when it came time to put on his swimsuit- he would not cooperate! Ugh...so we watched some swimmers and then we talked to Ms. Meaghan. Oliver still wouldn't put on his suit, so I guess we will be taking a break for awhile and just go to family swim!

After we met Grammie at Coffee Bean for a free Holiday drink. It was fun, then Oliver showed Grammie around the Pet Store. He loves all the birds in the store! He fell asleep on the way home after a long day of play.

Oliver got to spend the day with Mommy. We had fun hanging out in the morning and then going to the Y! He played, Mommy exercised, then we watched people swimming for about 20 minutes- we sat on the bleachers. Then we ran a few errands and got the car washed.

Oliver fell asleep for a bit, then woke back up and wouldn't go back to sleep, so we went to the mall to pick something up. Oliver had fun playing while Mommy was trying on a dress, then he had a lot of fun when Mommy was in line to get her free item at Victoria's Secret- (he will love this picture when he is older!)

In the evening we had fun around the house, Oliver was a bit crazy- so Mommy decided not to go visit some old friends for yogurt- she helped Oliver settle down instead. He is now sleeping peacefully on the floor in his room!

Oliver spent the afternoon with Daddy, since it is Tuesday! Oliver and Daddy went to Rico's for dinner, then to Quail Botantical Gardens before swim at the Y! They had a good time, Oliver got poked by a cactus, and then they played at the new kids section of the gardens. They had a pretty good time at swim. Oliver is a bit scared to go under- he thinks that the drain is going to take him to the ocean... Mommy will talk to Ms. Meaghan about this on Thursday! Oliver came home and cuddled with Mommy and watched some Charlie Brown. We can't wait to spend the day together tomorrow!
