One more cute pic from Thanksgiving...

Oliver had a great day! He slept while Mama and him went for a really long run. He slept early making up for his hard night with his new molar. We hung around the house for awhile and then went to the library....he had a great dinner and a warm bath. And he went to sleep early! Yeah!

On Saturday we went to the Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach with Grandpa and Grandma. Oliver had fun looking at the waves and watching the seagulls! A lot of people got a kick out of watching Oliver too! People always love his sunhat! He fell asleep in the stoller on the way to the car and then slept for 2 1/2 hours! That gave us some time to go for a nice drive up to Mt. Soledad in La Jolla and drive around the beautiful cove.

Oliver didn't sleep very well last night. That is why I am writing the blog this morning. He got another tooth last night, and it was the most painful one so far! He is happy today, but will probably have a good nap. Mama plans on taking that nap with him!

Oliver had a great day! We ran some errands in the morning, went to the Y to sign up for more swim classes (and play at the Lego table), and went to Aunt Allison's work where we also ran into Aunt Jessica and Chad! Oliver had a great 3 hour nap, and then we played outside. Mama hooped while Oliver played with his car. Then he came over to me smiling and wanted to try out my hoop! I bet he will be hooping soon!!!

We went to dinner with Daddy at our favorite restaurant, La Salsa. And then Oliver and Mama went for a long walk in the evening and saw Venus and Jupiter. We also watched part of a high school football game! He was very interested, he must get that from his Grandpas (because he sure doesn't get it from his Daddy!)

Oliver had a great 2nd Thanksgiving. This year he got to spend it with a lot of family instead of just Mama and Daddy. We ate a yummy meal with the McCains and then had yummy desert with the Wietzkes. Oliver slept well on Thanksgiving, it must have been the scalloped corn, the tryptaphan in the turkey and the whipped cream on the chocolate pie!

We had a nice day. We went running with Ranger in the morning and then went to swim class. Grandpa Don came and watched us swim. Oliver loves having an audience! Oliver got his first "Shrimp and Kipper" certificate for completing his class this month! Yeah!





We had fun hanging around the house today and then doing a couple of errands. Oliver ate a yummo grilled cheese sandwich and Grandma's yummy tomato soup. He likes eating soup a lot!

Today Oliver ate a yummy breakfast of eggs and waffles then went on a long run with Mama and Ranger. We came home and got ready, then Oliver got to go play with his friends at daycare. He had a lot of fun, he loves his friend Haley, she was born the day before Oliver! They are so cute together!
Afterwards we went to the pet store and got dog some food. They had the coolest turtles in an aquarium. Hmmmm.... Oliver thought they were so cool! Then we went and fed Patches, Oliver gave her a nice gentle pet and kiss too! We walked with Aunt Katy and Oliver played at the coffee shop. We had a nice day.

Today Oliver had a busy day. He slept good the previous night so woke up at his normal time of about 6:30. We went for a nice cool run with Ranger and then took off for swim class. Oliver played at the Lego table after swim and a little girl grabbed at him and hurt his feelings, but we made things all better! (I am glad that Oliver is sensitive!) Then he got to see Grammie and Grandpa for a few minutes while Mama picked something up at their house. Oliver went to Stephanie's for awhile so Mama could work on her coursework. He had fun with his friends and all the toys.

After Stephanie's we went to feed Patches and then went for a walk with Aunt Katy. We hung out at our favorite coffee shop and Oliver got to visit with Adi the barista. He loves her and she loves him! He always gives her flowers! (She gave him the big boy cup!) We had a great day!

Oliver had a great day. He woke up early and helped Mama with some chores, then they went for a run with Ranger. Oliver went to the Natural History Museum in Balboa Park with Daddy, while Mama got to spend some time on her own! They had so much fun, Oliver learned tons of things from the exhibits and his Daddy. That is the 2nd time Oliver has been to the museum, lucky duck!

Later Oliver came home and went for a walk with Mama and Grandma. Then he got to see all of his 2 Aunts, Uncle, Grammie and Grandpa, he got to eat yummy pizza, made by Chad and Aunt Jessica. Yummo. We all had a wonderful day.

Today Oliver woke up really early and Mama had to too! We went running with Ranger and then came home and got ready. We met Marley and Holly at the mall and Oliver played on the toys and watched the minature train. He got tired after about an hour so we said goodbye to our friends. Oliver took a nice two hour nap. He played with Daddy for awhile, while Mama got some much needed time to herself. Oliver ate yummo spaghetti from Borellis and the went to sleep! (Hopefully he sleeps in tomorrow morning!)

Oliver and I love Fridays! It means we get to spend long weekends together. Next week there is no school yeah! Today he went to Stephanie's and played with his friends and took a 3 hour nap! He didn't pout or cry when I left, he is getting used to the routine, and he really likes all of the toys!

We hung out after daycare and got a balloon at Hallmark. Oliver was so cute carrying it, he had it tied to his wrist. (Wish I had the camera!) He ate a steak taco for dinner and fell asleep very easily!

Today was a good day. Oliver went to Stephanie's and played with all of his friends. He loves all of them, they are so sweet! Afterwards we went to Grammie's house and went for a fast run with Aunt Jessica. Then we took off for swim class! Aunt Jessica and Aunt Allison came to watch! Oliver loved having an audience! He knew they were there for him, it was so cute! He was in a really good mood at the pool! And he had a lot of fun afterwards playing Legos with Aunt Jessica, that used to be her favorite thing to do when she was little! He fell asleep easily tonite after having such a happy day!

Oliver went to daycare today. He had fun with his buddies. On the way home we saw the beautiful marine layer, and then once we got to Carlsbad it was dark and foggy, and cooler! I like cool weather. Aunt Katy met us at home and we went for a walk. Oliver gave me a flower, the first one he has ever given me! He had a huge smile on his face when he gave it to me, it was really special!

We had dinner (lamb stew made by the gourmet chef Kalyn!) with everyone and Oliver gave everyone a kiss goodnite!

Almost 200 Posts- Wow!

I can't believe I have written on the blog 200 times! Oliver is going to have a great journal to look back on! I love writing everynight about his adventures and I can look back and see how much he has grown! He is so much fun! He is learning new words everyday, and does something funny everyday that makes me laugh! We are so lucky to have Oliver Owen in our lives!

This morning we took it easy before swim class, Mama is really sore from her Sunday run and soccer game. Oliver opened my drawer took out a tshirt and asked for me to help put it on. He puts it on his head and says "on." Then he wanted to go to the kitchen and show grandma and grandpa. We got a lot of laughs! Oliver is already showing his cute sense of humor!

We went to swim, the library, grocery shopping and came home and he took a wonderful nap. He got to see Aunt Katy and Gavin, go feed Patches, take a walk, play with Daddy, and he fell asleep peacefully! (We are hoping no more 4 am earthquakes tonite! Even though Daddy was really, really excited when it happened last night, it must be the scientist in him! Oliver didn't feel it!)

Today Oliver got to hang out with Daddy a lot. Mama left early to run in a 1/2 marathon on the Silver Strand from Coronado to Imperial Beach. Boy was it hot, Mama has never been so hot in her life! Oliver got to play with Daddy, eat a yummy breakfast and even go to the aquarium! When they came home, Mama laughed, they were wearing the same outfits! Camo shorts and blue t-shirts!
When he got home Mama took a nap with him. After he woke up he played a lot, he was making soup and feeding it to himself and Grandma. He was also intently trying to figure out the straps of his bike helmet, he likes to put it on too! Daddy watched Oliver while Mama went and played in last soccer game of the season, Oliver got to go on a run with Daddy! After that he went to Grammie's to play and cuddle while Mama and Daddy went on a date.

Hot, Windy, and Crazy

Today Oliver woke up early and Daddy took him to play while Mama got to sleep until 8! Wow, I forgot what it feels like to get a good nights sleep! It felt soooo goood!!! Oliver and I went for a hot run and then came home. We went to pick up Mama's gear at the 1/2 marathon expo in San Diego. Then we went to feed Patches, meow meow. Oliver had a wonderful nap, played with Daddy and Grandpa (that is where the videos some from) ate a yummo dinner from Borrelli's (Mama ate some pizza that will help power her through in the morning) and then went for a dark windy walk with Mama. He fell asleep when we got home.

Oliver has the best personality. He loves life! He had a great day at daycare and took another nap, yeah! He went to dinner with Mama and Daddy. He ate really good at La Salsa. He ate some of Mama's tacos and Daddy's enchilada. He danced in the high chair and played on the bench seat. He was looking at everything and taking everything in. He fell asleep on the way home. He had a great day.

Oliver had a great day. He laughed and smiled all the way to daycare. He slept for almost three hours. Mama had to wake him, and the 1st thing he said was "kids." After we went to the library where he colored and hung out with some girls. One of them even kissed Oliver! (He was finally not the 1st to initate the kiss!)

We came home and Oliver ate a yummy dinner, laughed at Grandpa when he stuck his tounge out at Oliver, and went for a bike ride with Daddy. He had a really nice day, and he really liked seeing the moon tonite!

Oliver had a great day! He is feeling much better, but he passed a little bit of it on to Mama (just a stuffy nose.) We went for a nice run in the morning and then off to swim at the Y. Oliver loves the pool, and is getting really good at swimming under water to Miss. Meghan. Everytime he reaches her and puts his head out of the water, he says Mama and looks for me. He is such a Mama's boy.

After we to Grammie's and visited with her and Aunt Allison. Oliver loves his Aunt Ali and how she plays with him! Later we went to visit Patches and we fell asleep at Aunt Jessica's apartment. Its nice having our own key to her place! Patches really likes it there too! We went for a short walk around Carlsbad after our nap, that is always a lot of fun!

When we came home, Oliver played with Grandma and Grandpa and then he ate dinner. He had food from Chick's and he loved the broccoli. He picked it up and said trees! I have trained him well, so had daddy, he is a lover of trees too! He also got to play with Uncle Joey and Kalyn.... He loves having so many cool aunts and uncles!

Today Oliver and I went running with Ranger. Then we met an old friend at the mall, Oliver played with kids at the indoor playground. He had tons of fun! He took a great nap. Oliver is starting to feel better, he is getting a lot of good rest and cuddle time with Mama.

Today Oliver didn't feel well. He doesn't have a temperature anymore but is covered in a rash. Mama and him went to get it checked out at the doctors, and they said he wasn't contagious anymore and that he had had a virus. He is catching up on his sleep now. Last night we hardly slept! He still had a lot of play in him today, just a bit slower pace!

We took a really fun train ride today from Campo, CA to Tecate, B.C. It was Oliver's 1st train ride. We had a lot of fun! Oliver did super well on the train, he held on to Daddy and Mommy tight when we went through the dark tunnels, but he was an explorer on the train. The volunteer train conductor said that Oliver had train legs. Maybe he will be a conductor or train engineer!

In Tecate he did an awesome job! He stayed in his stroller and just absorbed everything around him! He took a nap in his stroller too! (He wasn't feeling well last night and is still recovering, so that is why he was kickin' it in his stroller!) We all had a lot of fun! Today Oliver visited his 3rd country! We are going to need to get him a passport soon!
