A Visit to the Leonards

Sleeping Baby

Oliver had a good day. He got to visit his Aunt Katy and Uncle Scooter in Los Angeles with Mommy and Daddy. We had a fun drive up there, played for a bit and saw their new house and Katy's baby belly, then we made our way home. Oliver slept the whole way home and Daddy was a really good driver in the rain the whole way. We had a nice visit.

Lunch with Friends

Oliver had a busy, busy day! We started the day at the Y, Oliver had great fun playing with all the cars! Then we went to Barnes and Noble for a fundraiser for Mommy's school. Oliver had fun playing with the scholars! He cried when we left, Mommy had to rush to a dentist appointment. Oliver recovered and did a fantastic job while Mommy got her teeth cleaned. He looked out the window, talked to Nurse Jessica, climbed on Mommy, and more! He was awesome!

Afterwards we went to El Torito with the teachers and a lot of our scholars! Oliver sat in a booth with Connor and Mason (the secretary's son). The boys talked and ate their lunch. It was really cute to look over and see Oliver eating with some buddies. Some scholars came over and talked to Oliver. One of them asked Oliver if he had a girlfriend. Oliver said yes. He must have been referring to Danielle. Another scholar wanted to get his picture taken with Oliver- Oliver is turning into a movie star at the Phoenix Learning Center!

After a great nap, we all went to a hole in the wall Mexican drive thru. We ate our yums in the car and watched the busy streets of the "city." After Oliver played for a long time and finally went to sleep in his room, on his own- he didn't want Mommy to stay.....

A Day with Grammie

Oliver had a lot of fun playing with Daddy in the morning and then hanging out with Grammie. He ran a lot of errands with Grammie! He always stays in the cart for Grammie and she took him to Michaels and Home Depot. Oliver kept telling Grammie that she didn't like Home Depot. Funny because he told Mommy the same thing the other night when we went there with Daddy to get our Christmas tree. Mommy wonders if there has ever been a discussion about Home Depot being for Boys only???
In the evening Oliver was a good boy at Mommy's dinner/Holiday Party. He played with chairs and he loves all the teachers. It was time to go after 2 hours when he started to crawl across the dinner table... Fun day for little Owl!

Oliver had a wonderful day with Grandma! Daddy took him in the work truck to Grandma's house. Oliver had so much fun with her! They went to the Carlsbad Mall to play! Oliver showed her how he is such a great driver, he had a huge appetite and ate a whole corn dog with Grandma and she ate one with him too! Then he got to go on his first carousel ride ever! He had so much fun! He was so enthusiastic when Grandma dropped him off at Mommy's school! It was really cute to see both of them so excited! Yay!

Oliver had fun at Mommy's school making a little mess but learning. Then we came home to play and eat dinner! Oliver talked to Connor ( one of Mommy's scholars and another teacher's son!) on the phone and Connor got Oliver to take a shower! Yay! So Oliver took a shower and washed Elmo off too! He got to see his Daddy come in the door all muddy- his truck got stuck on muddy Miramar! Fun! Great day for little man.

Big Day with Mommy

Oliver had a good day with Mommy. We played in the morning and then Mommy took Oliver to the dentist. Oliver had some work done on his precious little teeth. The dentists love him and he loves the dentists. After he was done, Mommy and Oliver spent the day together doing some fun little things and just enjoying each other. In the evening we went with Daddy to pick out our living tree at Home Depot and get some batteries for some of our Christmas decorations. We had fun altogether and Oliver is really looking forward to Santa coming this year!

Today Oliver got to ride in the work truck with Daddy to Grandma's! They had fun together while Mommy and Daddy worked. They played, cuddled, and baked the most yummy cookies ever! When Grandma asked Oliver if he wanted to bake cookies, he ran to her, gave her a big tight hug and squeezed her neck! I guess that was a YES! They had a fun rainy day together.

Grandma brought Oliver to Mommy after school let out, he was sleepy and hung out in Mommy's lap while she was meeting with the other teachers. Then he woke up to play in the fifth grade classroom!

He had a great time this evening putting out some of our Christmas decorations. He was so tired by the time he went to bed that he told Mommy to go to her bed so he could go to sleep on his own. Big Boy!

** Something strange happened to my ancient camera and I couldn't take anymore pics.***

We had a great time in Vegas! Oliver had so much fun at the Stratosphere! He loved being with his Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma! Oliver loved going to Circus Circus and playing the games and watching a juggler! He also loved watching his Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma all try and get him a sesame street character from a claw machine. And guess what---Mommy tried last and she got a Cookie Monster and then an Elmo. We were all so excited, jumping up and down-- people passing by probably thought we had just won a million dollars at a slot machine--but no it was just two beloved characters, that Oliver spent the rest of the time taking care of!

We kind of had fun at the running expo- it got to crowded so we left and then went to a Cowboy Expo next door. That was more our pace with a two year old! We even got to go through it with Aunt Jess and Uncle Chad! Oliver had fun seeing them in Vegas! On Saturday night we all went to the top of the Stratosphere, Oliver fell asleep in his stroller so he didn't get to see the beautiful view, but he did like the view from our room!

He woke up on Sunday morning to find Mommy and Daddy gone! They went to the Rock n' Roll 1/2 Marathon that started at the Mandalay Bay! Daddy was such a trooper he found parking after Mommy got out of the car on the freeway on ramp (there was crazy traffic) and then he hung out while Mommy ran. Mommy got her best time yet 1 hour 45 min 21 sec. It was fast, flat, and a lot of fun running on the whole strip to the old part of Vegas and then back- with bands and crowds the whole way! Grandma and Oliver even saw Mommy running past a news camera on the news! They could also see part of the race from our Hotel rooms! It was great fun and then we drove back home as fast as lightening McQueen- Daddy had to go set traps on Miramar!

Oliver spent another loving day with Grammie. He got to hang out and play and eat and cuddle. Then he got to help Grammie run some errands. They stopped at Aunt Ali's store (that is what Oliver told Mommy!) He said he got a "big toy," Grammie said it was a nerf sword.... He sure was excited!

He fell asleep early because he didn't nap with Grammie, but he had a lot of fun this week with her. Thank you Grammie!

We are off to Las Vegas tomorrow morning with Daddy and Grandma. Mommy is going to run the Rock n' Roll 1/2 Marathon! (The reason for the picture above, Mommy is excited to run!)

Oliver hung out with Daddy in the morning, Oliver chased the chickens around their coop trying to get them back in their house. Daddy said Oliver was running and yelling..."Get back in your house chickens!!!"
After playing Oliver went to Grammie's to play. Grandpa went back to Ohio, so Oliver had fun with his Grammie. Grammie brought Oliver to Mommy's classroom before the scholars left. Mommy showed Oliver off to the 1st and 2nd graders, they love him! After they left he helped Mommy and Amanda in their classroom and then we went to the grocery store. Oliver went vroom, vroom in the race car shopping cart. He was making all the customers laugh with his sound effects and his enthusiasm in moving the steering wheel!
Now we are all winding down....sleep soon....

Oliver had a good day. He drove with Mommy in the morning to Grammie and Grandpa's. He got started right away on playing with his toys. Later he did some errands- target, costco, and some more. He had fun! Grammie also said that Oliver rolled down half of her stairs, she was worried about him and she held him for awhile but she asked him some important questions to make sure that he was really ok, she asked him what his name was, what his Mommy's name was and where he lived. He answered all three, "Oliver, Meredith, Escondido." Mommy thinks he was just fine. He had fun and loved hanging out with his Daddy in the evening.
