Drinking from his new sippy cup

Eating at Stephanie's- Sky is cleaning Oliver's face

In the morning we drive into the sun- Oliver knows
how to block it out, so cute. Check out what is in
his hands.

Oliver had another nice day. He got to go to Stephanie's and play with his friends. When we got home, Mama and Oliver went for a run, we saw a woman riding her horse and walking another horse. Oliver was completley amazed. He loves horses. He ate dinner with Daddy and ate very well. He is sleeping like a baby now. Cutie Patooty!

Jiffy Lube

My new camera takes awesome closeps.

Littke sleeper tonite!
Oliver got to go to Stephanie’s today after a long break with Mama. He had a great time and easily fell back into his routine there. He loves his friends! After Mama picked him up they went to get the oil changed in Mama’s car. Oliver watched everything from the waiting room window. He was a little concerned when they drove my car out of the shop, he said, “Mama’s Car!!!” as few times as if they were taking it away. He got a balloon from one of the shop workers and helped Mama pay at the cashiers. He is so cute!

He had a good evening with his Daddy. They rough housed and played sneak up on Grandma! He ate a good dinner, was a but crabby, but fell asleep beautifully

Oliver and Play

Holding his balloon in the car- we went to Marie
Callendar's to pick up a special treat for Oliver's
Special Bhuta

Oliver loves to play. He wakes up and is ready to investigate things, put together things, interact with people and animals, and eat! He has always been able to entertain himself since he could move on his own. He has been bringing in toys to the kitchen and playing with them while I cook or clean. He always stays in my sight, he is so cute!

We went for a long run this morning and then spent the rest of the day playing and getting things done. He had fun playing with Bhuta in the afternoon and tinkering with Nurse Liz's shoe. He is very comfortable with most of the people that come over to help Oliver's Bhuta. Oliver is such a friendly little man!

We went to swim tonite and he was awesome. He saw his friend Jackson that he hasn't seen for a month and they gave each other high fives when they got in the pool! They both have red hair too! He was ready to go ni-ni after swim and now he is sleeping peacefully.

Daddy's Little Boy

Oliver helping Daddy

Boys...so cute
Oh, boy a major development has occurred between Daddy and Oliver. Since Daddy played with Oliver yesterday, building forts, talking about monster trucks, eating chocolate, etc... Oliver has come to the age where he is becoming very attached to his Daddy. This evening while Mama was cooking with Grandma, Oliver played with Daddy or just stayed near Daddy. He didn't want anything to do with Mama! He even ran to Daddy when Mama came to get him to eat, hugging on to Daddy's leg! I'm glad they are having so much fun together! Oliver still loves his Mama, he helped her with the laundry before going to bed, (he transfered all the clothes from the washer to the dryer) and she got to put him to bed and read to him!
We ran early this morning and also went to swim this morning and did some errands afterwards. He was super cute at swim and was happy to be back in the pool after a break! He was talking a lot in the pool, surprising Mrs. Megan his teacher who has not seen him in a month. We had a nice day!

Tents and Running

Mama and Sleeping Oliver

Oliver is "EXCITED" too!

Playing in his tent

The entrance to his tent..I forsee many more to come!
Today was a nice Sunday. We didn't do very much in the morning, Daddy and Oliver played like crazy while Mama cleaned. They were building tents and having so much fun! Afterwards, Mama and Oliver went to test their new running stroller. It is wonderful! We ran pretty far and stopped by Grammie and Grandpa's to say hello, Oliver was asleep. He likes the new stroller because it is so smooth and comfy. When we got home Uncle Joey and Kalyn were over. So Oliver got to play rough with his Uncle Joey too!
Oliver and I went grocery shopping and then helped Grandma make dinner. Oliver hung out with Bhuta and Daddy for awhile, Oliver loves to go through Bhuta and Grandma's closet! He is sleeping now, snoring a bit, but content.

Vacuum With Grandma

Oliver watching Grandma vacuum
(He helped Uncle Joey do the same thing the other day.)

Mr. Clean

Oliver and his Grandma (Check out her cute shoes,
she is pretty cute too!)

This morning we woke up early to the sound of Patches scratching at the balcony door. We fed her, and then Mama got back in bed while Oliver played with his Legos. Mama got up soon after and then we were off to say goodbye to Daddy who went on a bird watching hike with some friends.

Oliver and Mama ate a couple of Kodiak cakes for breakfast and then were off for a rainy run. It wasn't super rainy, but Mama is enjoying the weather. Oliver took a long nap in the stroller because Mama put the "bubble" or rain cover over him! We stopped by to get some things from Grammie and Grandpa's house (Oliver was still sleeping!) and then we ran home.

When we got home, we saw 2 red shouldered hawks in a tree and Daddy in the driveway. Maybe the hawks followed Daddy home! Oliver played with Daddy and ate lunch with Daddy while Mama got cleaned up. Later Oliver helped Grandma vacuum the kitchen, they were so cute, doing chores together, while Bhuta watched.

Later Oliver ran some errands with Mama and Aunt Allison. Oliver and Mama are so lucky they found a used Bob Running stroller at the REI Garage sale. We are so EXCITED! Mama was bouncing off the walls at the deal and the awesome quality of her new running stoller (literally- Ask Aunt Allison and Amy)! Oliver tested it out in the store and loved it! His current running stroller has been through training for 5, almost 6 1/2 marathons, that is a lot of running and sitting! We are both ready for something different! (Pictures to follow soon...)

Oliver is sleeping super well now after such a full and exciting day!

Batiquitos Lagoon

Happy on the trail

The Hummingbird

Little Hiker

Today we had a nice day. Daddy played with Oliver in the morning while Mama slept in for an eensy bit. Oliver and I did some chores and stayed in our jammies until about 10:30. It was fun! Then we left to go for a walk at the lagoon. It was fun we saw a lot of birds, it was overcast, and we also saw a lot of doggies. We got to go into the little intepretative trailer and see displays of animals that live at the lagoon. They had a stuffed bobcat, some bats, and other birds. It was fun! Oliver hiked the last quarter mile of the trail on his own. He is such a cute little hiker!
Afterwards we did a few more errands and then he fell asleep on the way home.

After Oliver's nap he got to see his Bhuta for a little bit. Then we ate dinner (he had a whole fish taco from Ricos!), and afterwards Oliver played with his Daddy. He is sleeping well now.

Beautiful tower in the Park

We had a great day! Daddy started the new year off great by watching Oliver in the morning! Mama went for a long run at the San Elijo Lagoon by herself (its to hard to push the stroller on the soft sandy trail!), while Oliver played with Daddy, Bhuta, and Grandma.
After we got ready we made our way to Balboa Park to visit the Natural History Museum (Daddy is a member!). We had fun looking at the new fossil exhibit, a lot of fossils were found in Carlsbad. We also went for a nice walk and saw a lot of families and dogs out on a nice day! Afterwards we ate at a pizza place in Hillcrest, Oliver liked the olives in the calzone that we all shared.

We spent a nice evening with Bhuta and Grandma, Daddy bbq'd Bhuta's favorite ground round and Oliver loved Grandma's yummy beans. We had a nice start to 2009!

My cutie pie
Today was a nice day. Oliver woke up and was in a super good mood. He played with Mama and Daddy and ate breakfast. Mama and Oliver went for a long run, and then came home and played Legos and got ready for the day. We cruised over to Aunt Jessica's to clean up our mess (sorry Jessica) and then stopped by our favorite Carlsbad coffee shop to visit Oliver's girlfriends. He picked flowers for them himself from the plant out front and ran in to give it to them. They surprised him with a rose from a bouquet someone had given them! He was very excited. And what is even more special- he gave it to me in the car! So sweet--and he knows it!

We came home and took a nap then we hung out with family. Oliver got to see Aunt Katy, Uncle Joey and Kalyn and hang out with Daddy, Bhuta, and Grandma. We had some yummy appetizers and then Oliver went to bed. Tomorrow is a new year!

Busy Busy, Messy Messy

Daddy and Oliver looking at the early morning
trash truck.

Today was a busy day, we went for a run in the morning. We are trying to see all the Santas and Snowman before they are packed away for the year. We played with Oliver's new legos, we made a bridge and drove his new school bus underneath it. Oliver also played with his fire truck a lot!

We did a bunch of errands, stopping at Aunt Jessica's to eat our lunch. (She is not there, she is in Europe!) We made a huge mess, Oliver likes to play at her apartment! We left the mess, thinking we have time to clean it up, Jess doesn't get back until Jan 18th. But guess what, Aunt Allison went over there after work (we all have keys), she thought the mess was so funny that she bought her friend over to see it too! Oliver knows how to leave a mark! We will clean it later!

Oliver played with Daddy when we got home and blew Grandma and Bhuta kisses goodnite!
